Operation: Harsh Doorstop on Steam

Operation: Harsh Doorstop is the ultimate, free to play, tactical shooter sandbox. Play singleplayer, multiplayer, or co-op modes and explore thousands of community-created maps, weapons, and vehicles via the Steam Workshop. Created by ex-developers of Squad, Red Orchestra, and Insurgency.

This has quickly become my favorite big map vehicle battlefield-like because the gameplay is really solid and part of the core focus of the developer is creating a free moddable platform for others to create new types of games on. Even if tactical/milsim type games aren’t your thing there are already mods like “Casualfield” that make the gameplay much more like call of duty or battlefield.

Check it out!

p.s. the game is getting review bombed by trolls ignore the “mixed” rating, the game has some rough edges, but it is legitimately great fps as it is

You say ignore the reviews but idk why I should

Bluedrake42, the studio head behind Operation: Harsh Doorstop, threw a hissy fit and started going after content creators, accusing them of being paid by competitors without any evidence. Meanwhile, he himself promoted a company he had a stake in without disclosing it. It’s also important to note that there hasn’t been an update to the game since March 3, 2024. Avoid this game.

Sounds pretty credible to me, whats your counter to these claims?

Also they’re selling bundles for like $50 on the store page.

Still, it doesn’t look like there is any security risks as with some other chinese rootkit games that come out these days. Probably worth playing.

Decide for yourself, Bluedrake42 has a response video, and he provides a lot of examples. Honestly I find his explanation thorough and exhaustive enough that I don’t consider the accusations anything other than lazy mud slinging.

I mean that is because the way the developer asks for support is this
