Scan everything you can and soak up bits of story as they are given to you. It’s a very slow burn that delivers expert pacing in revealing itself to the player.

I was the exact same way. One of the first games I kept playing after the story was done, actually.
Haven’t done the DLC for FW yet, but I do plan to.
