A gaming community free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it’s price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don’t meet the system requirements, or just haven’t had the time to keep up with the latest releases.

This was so long ago that all I remember vividly is the first time I ran into the butcher.
Still a kid, first game I bought with my own money.
It was nice crawling different dungeons and then…
“Fresh meat”
That was the first time in the game where I started to frantically try to just… get the fuck out.
Other things I remember in no particular order:
D2 is less of a clash for a modern player I think
Thanks for the memories. I remember taking turns playing this with my sister and freaking out when we first saw the butcher. Like just being able to use the mouse and keyboard was a challenge it was so scary.
Haha, I can see the sheer panic, scrambling to get away.
It’s been a while but I’m pretty sure I failed miserably at first.
Until you figure out he can’t open doors.
D3’s butcher didn’t have the same feel, almost comical, then again I was much older by then.
Playing online, over dial-up, it’s almost a miracle it even worked.
Good times.
