You can also try LineageOS GSI for the time being.

Heliboard is the best opensource keyboard I have used. For dialer, I use fossify Dialer

It still works for AOSP and AOSP-Like Roms but doesn’t work for OP on OneUI

No need for tasker, you can achieve the same thing by enabling rotation icon using systemui tuner and adb.

Lawnchair has google feed. And I think Nova has too.

Yes, I have done it multiple times but you will lose recents screen and gesture navigation. If you have root, you can get it back with lawnchair + quickswitch.

Yes, you will have bugs. But those are fixable with toggles in the TrebleApp. And Gapps are included.

  • Android 14 QPR2 will cause problems
  • Try this one.
  • Make a Backup of your data
  • Unlock Bootloader (if you haven’t already)
  • Reboot to bootloader
  • fastboot flash system gsi.img

Both N10 and N20 do not support DSU because they launched with the Android version less than Android 12. But you can still install GSI with the traditional method. Check you VNDk version with this app and I can tell you which gsi’s are supported by your device.

  1. DSU works properly for Android 12 or greater.
  2. If fastboot works you don’t need twrp.

Even if your device is not listed, it is still supported. Every phone launched with Android 8 or greater support project treble. Thus, it also supports gsi.

Yeah, it’s an Asian brand. That’s why you have never heard of it.

I am using Infinix X6831

No, it’s not at least in my case. Actually GSI Lineage is a little bit faster due to less bloat than stock. But performance could be different for different devices.

Note: I experienced some bugs but all of them were easy to fix.

GSI are dominant now, device specific Roms are rare these days.

Even if custom Roms don’t exist, you can try gsi

I don’t care that much about security. For me lineage os is less bloated than graphene os.

Just remove as much permissions as possible. If you want more control rooting is still “the choice”. BTW Banking apps can work with root if that’s the concern.

If you don’t want root. Use a custom ROM like graphene(if your device is supported) or voltageos(if your device is not supported by graphene)

  • You can’t revoke android.permission.INTERNET at runtime. You can only revoke at install time. Since you don’t have root you can’t revoke that permission.
  • Did you check settings? There is an option to remove background data access from an app.

No, if you have another launcher installed with quickswitch support (like Lawnchair). Then you will be fine.

Note: QuickSwitch requires root. It’s for gestures and navigation support.
