The fact that it’s made by essentially one guy is also just insane.

What is one of them lying about?

It seems like an article written purely about info in a documentary, with no original investigation (although I could easily see that they tried at least some, but no one answered)

I was thinking more along the lines of “ah yes, that thing that happened 19 years ago”

Not saying there weren’t bugs, but the consensus seemed to be that it was the most polished, bug-free title they’ve ever launched.

Edit: …which is a pretty low bar, I know. But it seemed more inline with the bugs that most “AAA” games tend to have at launch.

For all the complaints about Starfield, being Bethesda-buggy wasn’t really one of them. It was possibly their most polished release.

You answered a question with a good answer, just not to the question they aske. They asked about the comment - “it’s not the game we bought into at launch”. They were talking about how a lot of people complained that what the game was at launch wasn’t what had been advertised - what people “bought into”.

You seem to be explaining why it’s “not the game you bought at launch” - which is definitely a valid argument too, just to something else.

Thats not really an answer to their question, though.

Also I disagree :)

Oh god, so there is absolutely nothing they can ever do to make up for it, I guess. Even after like 10+ MAJOR updates and expansions over 6+ years for free, they can’t possibly ever do enough for some people, I guess.

I think 3 was, I guess it’s subjective though.

Maybe the base game of 2 had more features or something, and with 3 you needed add-ons

Not in tbe US it’s not.

An existing implementation would be prior art and make it EXTREMELY easy to get the patent invalidated.

Was the fame alrifgr, or “incredibly unappealing”? What made it so ubappealing?

They also took inspiration from Adventure for the Atari VCS.

People can even BOTH enjoy stuff AND make fun of or complain about its failings.

$10.00! That’s far too much for this.

Now, something reasonable, like $9.99…

Just kidding, I just noticed you were one of the very rare people not playing the .99 game.

This looks rad and I’m about to buy it.

Edit: bought

IV for me. Plus that theme song…it’s possibly my favorite from any song ever.

SC2 did (or did the first mainstream) implementation of a bunch of things, but I’m surprised it was the first for this.

Good point.

I also got an email from them about it today, so I just assumed the article was also new.

I thought this was already announced a while back.

But nice.

This stuff is why I paid for an account.

I’m not sure ive ever 100%ed any game, except simple (mostly old) ones.

Maybe stuff like Super Mario World and Odyssey.

I almost did Oddworld 1 and didn’t hate it. Portal, I guess.
