Sounds like you’d rather watch a movie or show. Not a knock. I tend to not engage with plot in games unless it’s like BG3 where it’s fundamental. I like that for TV and movies, I just have the director giving me the optimal way to engage with their story and themes.
I am a sucker for a good magic or power system, so will happily explore through skill trees and the like.

If they mean AI upscaling, where you take a low resolution image then generate a higher resolution one then sure.
But it will be a while before they have full AI rendering, if ever. AI generation isn’t super precise when it comes to details and for games precision usually matters a lot unless it’s like a narrative game. You probably can’t use an arbitrary but close color for an enemy for example or have health bars look close enough.

I like factory or management games, even ones where it is expected you will fail, like Dwarf Fortress, because it’s not about winning or getting a high score. It’s about going in with an idea and setting it through to fruition. I like seeing things I spent a bunch of time on as a large concrete thing I can go back and look at again, and actually have it provide meaningful value in a direct way instead of just incrementing some number in the engine somewhere.
I still play some roguelites that are like that, but there is something nice about sandbox games where progress isn’t directly quantifiable.
It’s more generate shock value so there’s posts like this one drumming up interest.
If it’s anything like Baldurs Gate 3, you have a decent amount of control over how much sex and gore you want in the experience based on your in game actions and they likely have nudity toggles.
