Opposed to the Chinese corporations which are famously basically charity organizations?

What exactly is your point? Your moving goalposts to completely different planets.

Producing literally hundreds of a single type of airplane with orders for the next decade or so isn’t exactly “nothing to show for”.

And even if you discount the actual sales, getting billions in development budget from the US government is pretty good for business.

Yeah, I feel like if a customer has an informed opinion about your costumer service, your service obviously forces customers to call customer service too often.

It’s interesting in the sense that something went catastrophically wrong here.

This isn’t just a small indie dev wasting a bit of money, it’s hundreds of millions set on fire by an established company in this industry.

The fact that “no one heard of it” is exactly the point. What went wrong here?

None of your arguments are really an answer to anything.

Every app, telegram, simplex, ICQ are single points of failure - by design - whereas services like xmpp/jabber or even the self hosted variants of signal, simplex or matrix don’t have these problems. But they don’t do that. At least nothing that I heard of.

I think the reality is much more that most of the Nazis are inherently not constructive. They don’t create anything, they have no real vision, just hate for whatever group they think is worst right now.

They are literal leeches, they take over what they can get. Telegram, Twitter, now SimpleX. Volk ohne Messenger, if you want. There is exactly one platform that was created by them, truth social, and that’s a grift by Trump and his team, not something growing from within the community.

Man, I’m so glad this shit is illegal on multiple levels in Europe.

The older generations kept leaking contaminated water (reactor coolant), many harbors simply refused entry because they didn’t know the risks involved, and I’m pretty sure the decommissioning isn’t clear either. The way current laws are set up, it’s quite possible that these things go through a few hands and end up on a beach in some underdeveloped country and get dismantled like any other ship under horrible working conditions - but now with the added benefit of nuclear contamination.

There is a pretty good way: burn it.

Most plastics can’t be recycled in any meaningful way, so just burn it and use the energy. There are some legitimate uses for plastics, but most of it is wasted.

And always remember: most of the plastic in the ocean is fishing gear, not household waste.

It’s always “in mice” or on an extremely small scale for ridiculous prices.

Scientists only develop the first stepping stones, most of which lead to nothing, that’s okay. But the university PR > newspaper pipeline leads to everything being a major breakthrough, and that leads to fatigue with the reader.
