Would you claim if Starcrft ghost had not been canceled, it would not be a starcrft game?

I want a new shield tv revision because the Arm A57 cores are extremely dated for emulation use.

Also would be nice for some of the more demanding android titles that has released since then.

Aoe2 since the release of definitive edition in 2019 has consistently been releasing new expansions. Because it has dedicated and fairly sizable fan base.

It also got its xbox console release earlier this year.

So youre not part of the “Can it run Crysis” where the game was essentially designed to run on hardware that didnt exist yet?

It does if they decide to remove the windows conpatibility that was announced beforehand. So far they havent, but if they did, it would be treated the same.

There was a leak of bethesdas release schedule during the court hearings, which if you offset the dates due to covid, (starfield was originally taped for 2021) by 2 years, TES6 should be 2026 as the original target was 2024. That would put it as a late Xbox Series life release.

I mean Sonys last purchase was Firewalk Studios, who was working on a game that hasnt been publically shown(however, sony was given a preview of it privately) and they havent released a game yet, so they technically bought out an IP unless you claim they already hit the reset on whatever project they kept under the sheets.

Some people enjoy the security camera genre of games. Its just very niche though, as its sorta like a spinoff of tower defense.

From what i know, unreal offers easier cross platform multiplayer support and eac is easy to integrate to titles.

The problem not to conflate is good for developer does not always equal good for consumer. If your making it easier on the developer for multiplayer, by putting an extra burden of a login on the user, thats still a worse consumer experience.

The advantage atm is that valves privately owned. The moment they go public, be very wary.

osus source code i think is public, clone heros not that im aware of. different games will have varying levels of openess. all will share that adding official songs into the game is the least of their efforts, as thats more on the community to build.

3rd party rhythm games are usually dont ask dont tell about how they source their songs.

Osu is a taiko no tatsujin, Beatmania, Elite Beat Agents, O2Jam, DDR, DJMax clone. Clone Hero is a rock band/Guitar hero clone, and the list goes on.

They will generally pack a few songs that were given to them for use, but the rest is on the users

Irl professionals dont use their own pc. They use a pc provided to them, and their own accessories thats tested before hand for any suspicious modifications.

Online of course is unenforcable

Its not exactly, its a dll conversion. You overtake the dll the game uses and replace it with a different library. Same idea with reshade. You bypass the dll given by the game to use your own.

Things like reshade and controller api modifcations redirect dll functions. The line is kind of vague about the specifics.

Should people on steamdeck ironically be banned for how proton changes how the DX11 is read and converts it to vulkan?

Emphasis in most, they still put effort into doing so, more so than the reverse, who doesnt even touch the console side.

People conflate monopoly when they should be saying oligopoly

Thats arguing in bad faith, given that even after the buyout, Zenimax still produced games on the other devices. Arkane Lyon (deathloop), ID interactive (Doom), Tango Gameworks(Ghost Wire Tokyo), Mojang(Minecraft) and auch still produced games for other consoles, despite being owned by Microsoft.

Microsoft puts its developers games on other devices more often than the reverse. Its only within the past few years that Sonys been putting about half of its titles on PC.

Bethesda (now microsoft) owns Tango Gameworks. SNK is owned by the Misk Foundation, A foundation created by a Saudi Arabian Prince.

Its a huge myth that people think the japanese conpanies cannot be bought out by non japanese companies. Theyre just significantly less willing to unless it meant bankruptcy.

Its a scale, but they wouldnt make 0, which was the point. Its not solely a game dev studio.

keep in mind, CDPR isn’t just a game studio, they own GOG, so not releasing a game doesn’t necessarily get then at 0 income. Although not as big as valve of course, thats like saying valve would be broke if it didn’t release games (and it rarely releases games nowadays)

The point is it’s playerbases are in a similar tier in size. Of course its your opinion that battlebit is better (and is mine too), but that doesnt stop the idea that there are plenty of people playing 2042 now (especially vs launch). I have a friend who has both games, but when hes playing alone, he more often boots up battlefield more often then battlebit, and he spends a LOT of time playing those games more tham the rest of his library.

As much as i can enjoy battlebit, you arent giving battlefield enough credit

The populations of the games at the current moment arent even that far off, Battlebit is at 8k, 2042 is at 5k+whatever the number plays on origin.

Battlefield has a LONG history of always releasing in a shit start and getting better overtime. This trend has happened for the past several games (since after 3 I believe)

Thats the main goal imo. Theyre not teying to compete with the high end devices, all of them will likely download steam and give Valve money anyways. Valve always targets on expanding the market, with vr and such. The Steam Deck exists to expand the market to budget pc console like gaming, and it would not make sense to replace it now.

Valve I dont believe sees it like a cellphone where theyre trying to make more money by doing yearly releases. They arent a hardware company fundamentally. They only develop hardware as a means to expand market, not to make profit directly off of.

Its why virtually none of their hardware projects are bog standard, be it steam machine/deck(Linux market), index/vive (VR), Controller (touchpad, HD Rumble), Link(local streaming) as each project was designed to introduce pc gaming to a new market, or expand pc gaming by adding new features

Imo microsoft is trying to pump gamepass sub numbers and supposedly its not enough (despite the size). I think they will consider merging the World of Warcraft sub to gamepass to boost sub count for the investors.

Its not the first dev to do it. E.g FF7R intergrade chapter was PS5 only.

Yes, but you arent stuck learning lua to design games. Straight pipeline to corporate development.

Its less about copying the work, its more like looking at patterns that appear in a work.

To bring a very rudimentary example, if I wanted a word and the first letter was Q, what would the second letter be.

Of course, statistically, the next letter is u, and its not common for words starting with Q to have a different letter after that. ML/AI is like taking these small situations, but having a ridiculous amount of parameters to come up with something based on several internal models. These paramters of course generally have some context.

Its like if you were told to read a book thoroughly, and then after was told to reproduce the same book. You probably cannot make it 1:1, but could probably get the general gist of a story. The difference between you and the machine is the machine read a lot of books, and contextually knows patterns so that it can generate something similar faster and more accurate, but not exactly the original one for one thing.

of course not, its always gacha that profits, as thats the current situation its that AAA titles moving onto it open up a new market. it just terrible timing that opening up the new market coincided with the hottest iphone in awhile

buying a case actually exacerbates the scratching issue, as any small piece that gets into the case scratches it over time, hence experiences with Essential PH-1s. its just a symptom of titanium.

as a material, titanium is actually softer than some aluminum based alloys, so its softness allows for some dust, which have a higher hardness than it, to scratch it up. a common material that would scratch it up would be a grain of sand, and if caught inside the case, would do damage overtime.

I do miss the weight and ceramic as well. Ive replaced the screen (multiple times, my fault) towards the end of its life and batteries, but tmobile cutting off 3g was time for me to move on from it (to a Zenfone 9)

The pixel to me isnt there yet to where i want it let me want it(outside of my preference for smaller phones) with the SOC(which is tied to battery life). Maybe until a generation after google launches its fully custom SOC where id consider getting the A varient of the phone only because its the smallest model.

Its why imo if youre going to get a 15 pro or better, get the titanium color. Its a “new” color with a titanium border with the least color problems.

Both nvidia and amd sees CP2077 as a game to showcase tech now. The only irony is that imo, its actually of the weaker games for specifically DLSS/FSR as its the one game due to it having the most severe ghosting problem, regardless of version

It depends on how youre using it and what youre actively doing from what ive seen. Its common for it to get hot for those doing the initial, just bought phone and transfering data due to the amount of data transfered between devices.

The other way people see it is when gaming, one reviewer I believe had the phone throttle while playing genshin impact, and heavier gaming is becoming a bigger marketing tool for Apple recently, as its actively advertising Resident Evil on its phone, and theres a few more devs coming along too. While phone gaming is a minority in cellphone use cases, its actually considered the largest paying base when considering the entire gaming industry.

The source on the physical and edge aspects are jerryrigseverything tests

Physically, i think the other ones were that the phone is more fragile (can be broken with bending with only hands), and the phones with darker colored titanium edges gets its paint scratched off easily.

Titanium is very sensitive to scratches, just telling people as anybody who used an Essential PH-1 could tell you (I didd for 4 years)

Hence “to them”, not to people. They did make changes. But that doesnt stop what they think. Your opinion doesnt change what they think.

because source wasn’t a sequel to them, just an engine port. Why counterstrike 2 is called 2, imo, just because Source 2

Being a new game in a series doesn’t necessarily mean that its the next numbered game, especially to valve. Technically speaking, the other counterstrike project (Condition Zero, single player content) is also a thing.

The difference between csgo and cs2 is similar to cs 1.6 to cs source. Its a major change of engine with brings in other changes with it.
