I think it’s a tale of two cities here - those who play single player are pleased and those who play multiplayer are pissed. I’m a bit of both.

As an individual you can only push so far. One thing I’ll give rockstar is that their decade old game still manages to outshine most of the 1sr party releases these days - my friends and I jumped on after this recent update and not saying ray tracing is amazing or anything but the humour in the main story hits you so hard. As I’ve grown up this past decade, I’ve become more jaded and cynical hence why I’ve been enjoying GTAV once again haha

It’s funny you say that - if I recall correctly, rockstar plans on maintaining gta v alongside gta 6 hahaha

I haven’t done a deep dive but initial impressions were - ok I can see a slight difference but not worth the performance impact lol

It takes a lot of talent to design and develop a 200 hr game and to keep it engaging throughout. For example a talentless studio like Ubisoft will make AC Valhalla on one end and you’ll have a talented studio like Larian make Baldurs Gate 3 on the other.

I think the OP means a big public statement like some western publishers do

The first remake game was so boring with its poor side quest activities. I regret buying the double pack on steam. Not sure if I’m going to complete the remake and have the patience to try this.

What? Don’t you want to make it your second job? The live service game experience? /s

Wish it was a similar approach to previous implementation - but everyone could benefit… but I guess they had to go down this path to compete…

Maybe their Pokémon studio could be gifted some of this creativity?

They can’t control the developers but they can control their drivers and tech

Please just make a new Bravely Default like the original (not 2). The humour, the story, the gameplay mechanics and the presentation remain undefeated.

I must’ve missed the last 10 yrs of COD but that sounds wildly fun!!! Would you recommend?

Help me solve my dilemma - I do want to hear about new exciting releases/reviews of upcoming games but I also don’t want news of announced games which are 5+ years away. And especially don’t want to hear about every little morsel of info they throw your way in the 5 year build up only to launch disastrously and then keep us in the news cycle for another 2-3 years where they advertise how they are fixing their game only to turn around and ask for more money to sell you an expansion. How do I just focus on the good ones?

Just reporting my findings - 5700x3D 32gb DDR4-3200 and 4080, still getting sub 60 in towns and 60 ish outside with Epic settings and DLSSS performance. What’s worse is that 60 fps doesn’t feel smooth, Digital Foundry mentioned it was a bug at launch, still not resolved.

Animal Crossing style game where you have to climb towers to unlock map visibility, have follow sneak missions and a general sub par gaming experience. No thanks Ubishit.

He’d make amazing Netflix second screen movies. For these, it’s required for in movie characters to spew the plot for the audience every ten minutes… if you see where I’m going with this…

Yeah - and us consumers don’t need every fucking milestone painted out either. We didn’t back this. Show it to us when it’s time or get the fuck out of my feed. But watch how they’ll go down the cyberpunk route and build hype over 7 years again to deliver a broken piece of shit on launch. Why? Because they made so much money last time doing it.

Great - what am I supposed to do with this? Hope it’s not as shit as the rest of the UE5 games or Cyberpunk? Hope my hardware can run it? Have they learnt nothing from Cyberpunk? Like STFU and maybe show people things when it’s ready?
