Alternatively, boycotting a company really doesn’t do shit these days. People have short memories and you’ll never get enough people boycotting Blizzard to actually make an impact. Especially over an issue like this. People stop caring about a boycott for much bigger things, a boycott over something like this would never accomplish anything. They’re probably recouping more money from their change than they are losing over this.
Really the only way change happens is for people like Rossman to draw enough attention to an issue that Congress actually does something about it. Your exercise is a noble one, but it’s an exercise in futility. That being said, I haven’t given Blizzard any money since the workplace harassment scandal came out.
The Radeon RX 6600 is not even 3 years old, not to mention it was impossible to get any GPUs during that time so it might as well be only 2 years old.
And yeah the 2060 will be 5 years old in January but if we look at something like Steam’s hardware survey, it took until this month for the 3060 to become the “top dog” on the steam survey. Which is still only 6% of people, prior to that it was the GTX 1650.
Um how exactly do you think these “rogue devices” would exfiltrate that data? Do you think iOS is providing Internet access to the faceID module or the display? Or do you think these devices somehow contain an entire wifi chipset to connect to the Internet to exfiltrate your data without anyone noticing an entire extra SoC soldered onto the part?
Please provide any argument as to why you think these could exfiltrate data over these interfaces? Unless you think iOS’s security is so poor that it lets any hardware device that’s attached to it get full network access? (Which I’m pretty sure is not physically even possible in most cases since those connectors are only capable of sending the type of data across for that particular sensor.)
I would imagine more bureaucratic processes being the issue here. I can imagine some Rockstar employee tasked with getting the game up on Steam, trying to get the game through official channels to put on Steam, getting frustrated, saying f-it and downloading the Razor 1911 version thinking they removed all the references and then pushing it to Steam.
Until they’re testing and pass NHTSA standards, fuckin nope.
Maybe people will change their minds once they see the aftermath of high speed crashes in these things. Or crashes with a MUCH heavier vehicle. With the weight of EVs these days you NEED a car that’s designed around safety.
