Seems less like “protesting” and more like “fucking over other people in the game” to me, which sounds about right for the League of Legends player base.

I bet it will come with a free copy of Denuvo. Will be an incredible deal: 2 softwares for the price of 1 software. Can’t beat that.

I’m making an announcement to everyone:

I’m canceling my plans for today, codenamed Kestrel. You will never know what they were.

I bought this game in early access like 10 YEARS AGO lol. Feels like it has been in my library forever now.

Not to rain on Rimworld’s parade, but where is the next Rimworld successor? We had Dwarf Fortress > Rimworld > ???

There is an entire generation growing up that only understands “Discord” as “chat app” instead of as the vocab word.

They HAD a cool PVE mode that they put a ton of effort in to creating. They released a bunch of fun minigames as a promotion for all their Star Guardian stuff. Then after a few weeks, it went away and never came back.

If I actually played any EA games, I’d probably be upset

Is there a name for the phenomenon when a company or group has access to all of the metrics for a product or good then makes foolish decisions using that information?

Right now Arrowhead can deflect all criticism of their actions by saying “we made this decision based on the numbers” while ignoring the fact that metrics aren’t magic numbers blindly meant to be followed, you are supposed to use them to discover underlying reasons for why those numbers exist in the first place.

This patch is a big L for me and a bad omen for what is to come of this game if the devs are making their decisions like this.

I really liked DRG. Have maxed out all the classes and enjoy carrying people through Haz5 and EDD. However, DRG:Survivor from the very first announcement just seemed like nothing more than a cash grab to me and made me uninterested in it.

Yeah, and “super cheap” is pretty much a flat out lie.

For a few years in the beginning of the 2010s, it felt like a game that every single gamer person I knew online and offline played. I met a lot of people and became friends with people on the other side of the country as well as coworkers. Somewhere in the middle of that decade, maybe earlier, Riot really lost the magic and it just felt less like a fun game and more of an aggravating e-sport.

I always liked Phreak’s broadcasting personality, though it has been years since I followed LoL. I hope he’s doing well.
