it works very well with my sloppy handwriting, but that is in English.

nice, glad you got it.

Alternatively, you could use the text copy feature from google photos, and select the text from it, paste it into Keep as a list, and have it all digital.

well I don’t know what to tell you, it can easily do that lol

ha, battery life is very important to me, but this is a bit much

would be nice if someone would do a more reasonable 8-10000mah

are you using gestures?

I suspect that might cause a conflict.

I use the 3 button nav on my phone.

you could add a hotspot on the lower left and right sides.

Unusual advice:

I use Jina app drawer

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobeedom.android.jinaFS&hl=en_US&gl=US

It allows you to swipe up from the home button and access a selected grid of apps, and quickly search for any installed apps.

Lets me keep my homescreen pristine, and only display art/widgets.

So it really doesn’t matter what my launcher is.

what is the benefit of sandboxing your work apps?

tangible, mental, or otherwise?

I’ll give them a try.

I do have NewPipe installed already, but I just use it to download a video if I need it.

Will try it out full time as well as the other app.

i’ll setup vanced and try my luck with adblockers.

I don’t mind tinkering with it to get it working.

you know what, i’m just gonna cancel the whole thing.

hope this was worth it for them.

i pay my subscription in Argentine dollars 😁

seems turkey is the cheapest now, but a little hesitant to cancel and try to resubscribe from there in case it doesn’t work…

No lie, look on aliexpress.

I got 3 different cases (silicon, plastic, fabric) for about $3 each.

Caveat is you’re going to have to wait a long time for shipping.

I would get that phone in a second if they didn’t put an LCD over an OLED display on it.

can get it replaced for $50, totally worth a few hundred dollar discount.

i buy every single phone second hand from swappa, never had an issue.

going to be about impossible to find a decent phone with a 3-4" screen.

Tasker and KLWP.

With these, you can replicate the functionality of almost any app.

  1. I will never watch this guy’s videos
  2. It does look really nice
  3. I am still not interested in foldables

I had a 3a XL, but I just had a zenfone 10 arrive.

fantastic device and it’s so refreshing to be able to use it with one hand.

yea, they did get patreon exclusive feeds working, but any other don’t.

I just don’t like that everything has to go through them.

used to be a big pocketcasts fan, but I dislike being completely dependent on their servers.

Antennapod rocks as well.

I wasn’t able to settle with it for some minor reason I can’t recall, but it was a great app.

Yea I noticed I don’t get ads in it nor in Sync for Lemmy.

No idea why, but I’m not complaining.

Biggest issue with pocket casts is it cannot deal with authenticated feeds.

It is both funny and sad that Google has more or less trained me to never use their apps.

At this point, I purposefully don’t use them because I assume they’ll soon be cancelled.

Try Podcast Republic and Podcast Addict, both are awesome.

PA is more for power users.

PR is more for regular users.

Ever since they removed the headphone jack on the A series, they stopped being a viable option for me.

It is the same in the US, and even funnier is that it’s not even by the govt’s regulations, they just simply want to make certain topics verboten.

nothing people love doing on tech forums more than telling someone their question is dumb, and given them an answer to something they never asked.

found the guy that sits around at the buffet the entire day stuffing his face with food.

The issue is that text cannot reflow, so if a given page has a large amount of text on it, you’re going to have to manually zoom into and scroll back and forth.

You can find tons of posts up people bragging about using up many petabytes of data.

aha, that’s exactly what I’m using

But over time, we found a growing number of customers were buying Advanced subscriptions not to run a business or organization, but instead for purposes like crypto and Chia mining, unrelated individuals pooling storage for personal use cases, or even instances of reselling storage.

Yea, not surprising tbh.

Now that Sync and Infinity are out, which do people prefer? Also, how do they compare to the existing lemmy apps?
I have about 5 different apps installed right now, and while I plan to test them all out, curious what people's conclusions are thus far.

Are there any apps that are a half decent replacement of photoshop?
Almost all mobile editors that I've seen just allow you put filters/text/etc over them. I'm looking for an app that will let you have multiple layers, bring in a second image, cut out the background, resize and move it, etc. Are there any apps like this?

What are the best phones with headphone jacks?
At least for the next few years, I am pretty firm on needing a jack on my device. I am currently using an LG v60, and while nice, it's starting to show its age. Any suggestions on where to go next? I was looking at the ROG phone, and while it does seem very nice, I feel like it is a bit much as I don't game on my device at all. Are there any good phones I should be looking at? Thanks!
