Heck you could even keep the hierarchy, but with no representation of the workers in leadership you lose an major perspective on the organization.

The fact that the employees were able represent their defacto power in a crisis is good, but the fact that the don’t have explicit power in the decision making process is why this able to happen in the first place.

There are no good kings, even if the best men were made kings, they would be inherently tainted by the position.

I was very surprised by how many people would follow the CEO out like that. The board really failed to represent or listen to their workers.

Not-for-profits I feel tend to have this alignment issue…

I like the idea. Basically turning b Roll and background info into reproduceable info. So you could for example get a pixel perfect 8k view of say the main subject and edit around that instead of needing actual 8k of unimportant background scene.

I think an added one would trying to explore more with latent space to see how precise would might be able to get with the AI compressed details.

More useful than the thing I know my heard people talking about disabling? Wow, what a time to be alive!

Windows subsystem for Linux (WSL) which is Linux as a subsystem of Windows.

They just need to stop using slaves and fighting attempts to fight against it and I might actually get to appreciate the cool things their engineers do actually make.

It’s popular idea for a lot of innovation focused groups tbh. “If I have the people what they asked for I would have given them faster horses.” -Henry Ford

And to a certain degree there is truth to it.

Yeah… Matrix seems so much better over all for me. It’s just not as controllable so there is less investment in pushing adoption from companies.

Meta too. Their work in the Opencompute space is really cool, but it definitely feels like a jab at all their major tech competition going into the cloud space.

Providing information for your care providers to act on it. At least that’s why I would WANT to have it. Is it being effectivly used like that though? I have no idea.

Do you like small talk? I feel like that’s been a delimiting factors for me and my friends.

Amazing what some surveillance agencies funding can bring to telecoms.

I mean ML is just the tool someone used to study a work in a way that generated a new understanding (the model). You could theoretically accomplish the same thing with a mathematician measuring painting with a variety of instruments and building a mathical model themselves to represent the relationship between word descriptions and the images produced.

The work of thousands of devs, engineers and scientists have just made that process both more wildly available and applicable.

Biometric data is useful for establishing identity, that can be used to correlate data better and for surveillance purposes.

Honestly the AI safety concerns of alignment I feel are exasperated by corporations, which we already don’t have good ways to keep aligned to the interests of the general public.

There is a lot of cool federated learning frameworks, federated inference seems less fleshed out with petals.dev being the only example I know of for it.

Honestly looking forward to doing an analysis of Gitlab for project, agile release trains, and portfolio management. I would love to have service desk, devs, and managers all looking at the same thing.

That’s not really the case for all ML systems, it the fact that programers can generate content that they themselves did not make, collect, or anticipate themselves by creating models that generate thier own decision trees based on input data.

Exactly! If it were just out putting exact data they wouldn’t care about making new works and just pivot as the world’s greatest source of compression.

Though there is some work researchers have done to heavily modify these models to over fit to do exactly this.

|it’s not practical, but it can be done. We simple don’t have the time or inclination to do it

Is also supposed to be true if the human mind.

I mean people have doing new works in the style of other artists for a while as well.

It’ll be interesting to see if this gets used in places where the cost of dedicated hardware out ways the bandwidth available. Video calls to Antarctica, shipping vessels, airplanes, space, etc. At least that’s something that comes to mind. Could also see a next interation of CDNs using it, if the numbers check out.

Training tends to be more compute intensive while inference is more likely to be able to be ran on a smaller hardware foot print.

The neater idea would be a standard model or set of models, so that a 30G program can be used on ~80% of target case, games and video seem good canidates for this.

I’ve looked at private 5g for this a couple times using something like Openstack Magma. Get me and few friends and family and I’ve have decent coverage I think.

Fortunately or unfortunately I think there is plenty of time before successful adoption starts to impact the majority of IT related careers. Just based on the rate of adoption of other useful but complicated IT frameworks like k8s.

Some more modern cities air ports near the centers as well

Better to see more creativity then the real solution most small businesses go for of just making a face book page and letting FB handle their design for them.

So what is the “core” position in relation to that? When is the next election for Xi Ping for that position?

Isn’t the CCP given explicit power and privilege in the Chinese government and isn’t the CCP’s officially headed by a permanent leader as it’s “core”? I’ve been trying read about the political structure and it’s hard to not argue that it seems very autocratic.

Which is his point, right? Like where else would you go to host if all governments engage in this BS

I mean another piece of evidence is that she had really choose a hard path to walk IF there was nothing going on. She could have just left and kept this bridge unburned if their was nothing to this.

People are having sex in non-self driving cars, so yeah of course if they think they can pay attention less there going to be more people doing it

They gotta their digital peasantry, I mean users, from other feudal lords, I mean corporations, to maximize their power over them and ability to exploit them, I mean … No wait that’s right.

Hopefully countries looking for data sovereignty but also want to use generative AI start looking to using them for this before the company dries up and proprietary AI running only in US data centers become the state of the art and defacto place to go.

I mean, how long has it taken for cloud offerings to start to catch up to AWS.
