The fact that the employees were able represent their defacto power in a crisis is good, but the fact that the don’t have explicit power in the decision making process is why this able to happen in the first place.
There are no good kings, even if the best men were made kings, they would be inherently tainted by the position.
I like the idea. Basically turning b Roll and background info into reproduceable info. So you could for example get a pixel perfect 8k view of say the main subject and edit around that instead of needing actual 8k of unimportant background scene.
I think an added one would trying to explore more with latent space to see how precise would might be able to get with the AI compressed details.
I mean ML is just the tool someone used to study a work in a way that generated a new understanding (the model). You could theoretically accomplish the same thing with a mathematician measuring painting with a variety of instruments and building a mathical model themselves to represent the relationship between word descriptions and the images produced.
The work of thousands of devs, engineers and scientists have just made that process both more wildly available and applicable.
It’ll be interesting to see if this gets used in places where the cost of dedicated hardware out ways the bandwidth available. Video calls to Antarctica, shipping vessels, airplanes, space, etc. At least that’s something that comes to mind. Could also see a next interation of CDNs using it, if the numbers check out.
There is petals.ml which is focused on distributed AI inference to help with that
Hopefully countries looking for data sovereignty but also want to use generative AI start looking to using them for this before the company dries up and proprietary AI running only in US data centers become the state of the art and defacto place to go.
I mean, how long has it taken for cloud offerings to start to catch up to AWS.
Heck you could even keep the hierarchy, but with no representation of the workers in leadership you lose an major perspective on the organization.
