This makes sense, but it would still allow a hundred times more people to use the model without running into limits, no?

So if the Chinese version is so efficient, and is open source, then couldn’t openAI and anthropic run the same on their huge hardware and get enormous capacity out of it?

It’s a cool gimmick, but a gimmick all the same. Expensive, fragile, thick.

Could you please link to the right place, then?

I looked at Droidify and only found an old unmaintained version.

GDPR is about/against unsolicited sharing of personal information. If OP’s story were in the European Union, that would be a blatant breach of privacy, and the (phone company?) who provided that name would be facing a gargantuan fine.

It says right there in your screenshot that it’s the CABLE that can become damaged.

Like 90% of all the apple cables I’ve ever seen. But I guess that’s different.

ADW Launcher

I want to switch to this, myself, but haven’t found the energy to do the effort.

Quote from your link:

What can’t be remapped?

  • Power button
  • Bixby button
  • Mouse buttons

‘Podcast Addict’ is an amazing alternative.

And these Google actions are what cause me to #degoogle my life, finding alternatives for every Google thing I use. Damn you Google, don’t be like that…

I have fared well by buying 1-year old used flagship phones in good condition.

Cost is a fragment of original price, battery is still fresh, and specs are great, being last year’s flagship.

Also, I tend to buy large-brand models, like Samsung. Not because I have a particular affinity but because it’s stupidly easy to get accessories for, say a Samsung Galaxy S10, as compared to a cheap Xihuawii Z2H or whatnot.

Defo no Google hardware. And not so sure their services either, but moving off the Google account universe is a whole lot more involved than replacing a phone handset. Haven’t figured that out yet.
