I replaced it once. There’s a simple battery replacement pack available online.

I’m still rocking a Gear S3.

Works fine and still no issues with tap n’ pay.

Pixel 9 Pro XL: best waterproof case?
In November I'm visiting Dominican Republic for the first time. I want to take underwater photos & video. TIA.

You mean turning off the engine, opening a door and shut it to make sure power is completely off? Yes. I try that.

Possibly. It’s just very frustrating that everything does work occasionally.

I just figure out how to replicate the exact sequence/situation/settings.

I certainly can try another music player. But, I love Power Amp. It has the best features, IMO.

Yeah, I’m familiar with that screen. No, it doesn’t appear during my issue.

Weird is correct. Hence, why I’m looking for suggestions.

Someone suggested turning off VPN. Which I’ve only shut down Total Adblock. I haven’t turned off VPN in the phone settings.

I spent a bit of time consulting with the folks at Micro Center to find a high quality cable. As I mentioned, my GF’s iPhone works fine.

Turn by turn works. However, then my music plays only through the center dash speaker.

Hey gang, need some help. Looking for suggestions.
I have a Pixel 9 Pro XL, on Android 16 (beta 3). When attaching to USB in my car, the Android Auto feature won't play my music, the vast majority of the time. I use Power Amp and music is fine over Bluetooth. It's *not* the wire. Also, my GF's iPhone works fine. So, definitely an OS/software glitch. I make sure that Total Adblock is turned off and restart my phone before attaching to USB. The music may actually work about 2/10 times. However, I can't determine the exact situation during the moments it works. Any ideas? TIA. # Fixed! believe or not, I just need to hit the play/pause button, even though it SEEMS like the music is playing, just need to tap play/pause until it actually starts.

I have to unplug and replug to gain audio.

Not a Samsung, but, still an issue with AA.

I turned off “at a glance”. That got rid of it. Ty for the suggestion. I’m guessing the countdown continues out of sight.

Ha, guess it’s different. I like looking at it with the phone turned.

I’ve made sure to clear any timers or alarms.

I’ve tried to make sure nothing is running.

Weird Countdown on lock screen. I've restarted both devices. Any ideas?

Do NOT use biometric unlock in the U.S.

Law enforcement can force you to open the phone vs. requiring a warrant for PIN/Password.

I use Lucid Launcher which has an “edge”. I use it for my Fav apps and keep my home screen empty.

I personally love it.

Imagine suddenly driving up to a police DUI check point. You’ve only had one glass of wine with dinner. But, you posted about it on IG, FB, X … or, whatever. You want the risk of letting the cops have easy access to your phone? No way!

I’m aware. I just think it’s safer to use PIN/password 100%.

Friendly reminder if you’re in the U.S., you always want to use a PIN or password to unlock your phone. Law enforcement needs a warrant. If you use your finger print, Iris, face… they do NOT need a warrant.

Pixel. I looked for Nice Catch. That’s part of Samsung?.. I should look into whether that could be side loaded.

Edit: pretty sure that’s a no.

Ha, yeah, I read that before posting this. I’ve never had a dedicated news app and I don’t listen to podcasts. I’m strictly a music man. I’m searching my phone for weather related announcements.

Unfortunately, I recognize everything. The alerts started before the last “Call Control” app that I installed.

It’s just really irritating that nothing gets listed in Notification history.

Nothing really. Just the Google Discover on the new tab page. I’ve checked to make sure no notifications are “On”.

There’s no record of it. It’s just a verbal announcement and it does not appear in the settings notification history.

Stock is fine. If you want a different “feel”, try a launcher. And get a system Ad Blocker.

I use Lucid.

It has a side bar for fav apps. Just swipe left and my list pops up. 12 apps.

My home screen is empty with a beauty of a wallpaper.

Can’t help ya with the Google feed. I never use that. Occasionally, I’ll tap the weather icon on the lock screen to open the weather info.

I’ll take my chances. Good thing is, if I lose my phone, I won’t be able to whine about it on Lemmy.

Glass backs are dumb. I always use a simple case that can hold my driver’s license and a card. I never use a wallet. I think it’s been at least 20 years since I’ve carried a wallet.

Anyone else lose NFC with the A15 beta? [Fixed with Beta 15.1 on April 23]
The first Android 15 beta has busted my tap and pay. Anyone else lose NFC?
