There’s been a good amount of evidence they’re working on it. Then some rumors of a dev kit being shown to publishers. And then the distinct slowdown of releases and announcements of major Nintendo IPs. So likely the plan was to announce the new console in the spring or summer for a winter/Christmas release.
Okami would be interesting in a post breath of the wild/tears of the kingdom world. It’s artistic style probably wouldn’t stand out as much among the Zelda clones let alone Zelda itself. And gameplay could be open world like Zelda or stay classic or something different like tunic. That said, the paint brush mechanic really should be on a system with motion control so I hope it comes to switch 2 or whatever it’s called.
I lived down the street from volition for years. Did a walk through of their office one time with a friend of a friend. They seemed like a really cool group of devs. I’m glad they’re finding a new stride after embracer fucked them.
And I’m personally glad they’re moving on from saints row. They’re too creative to just pump out more sequals on the same shit
None of these companies create jobs, none of them create competition, none of them foster creativity, none of them innovate. Global monopolies are a blight.
And I’m not going to let doom scrolling and apathy deter me from trying to change things. At least I emailed my congressman today
