the locked class’ were unlocked for everyone after about 1 week due to backlash, they did listen at least. Different races are now for sale through points earned in game or real money. They are a cosmetic change with some minor stat differences (both good and bad so pretty balanced)
This game had all kinda of problems, but problem #1 was releasing on epic games with 0 hype. At least with a wider release they could have secured a decent launch.
Gothic 1 is a classic and holds up great still. The only real issue are the controls and they mention reworking them in the trailer.
I hope the re-release gets a PC version eventually, if not at least switch emulated very well :)
I still hate that epic doesn’t allow user reviews. Anyway it’s sitting at mixed on steam, thanks for the heads up!
