I am sorry but Kyle Crane was a really bland character as well, I think in most of everyone thinks so as well. I don’t think I have every seen a opinion/review that actually praised the main character or story of the first game.
And mind you, Dying Light 1 is one of my favourite games of all time.

Yeah, wingsuit ruined the second for me. You can literally fly across the map with having to parkour. I liked some of the parkour changes, but they alsmost don’t want you to have to actually parkour in that game.

Damn, I had never such a specimen in the wild.
Let’s observe its behaviour 👀

Got it, thanks for the info.
Hadn’t read that.

Oh yeah that is pretty weird. It’s normal that they have premium content but the way they show it to users is odd.

If you care enough to try the site again, the news and features tab doesn’t have that.

That fake “pop-up” is only on the homepage if you scroll down a little…

That’s in the home page yeah, it’s makde kind of weirdly yea, with a sorft of fake “pop-up”. But you can still access the News and Features without limitations I think… ?

Yeah, that’s pretty expensive ngl. It would be nice if they introduced a lower tier 🤔

so why would it work now?

From what he says, it seems that he is counting on the fact that he already has an audience from his youtube channel, and that he won’t have to start from nothing.

What ? Why ? I’m using ublock origin in hard mode and I don’t have any problem.

Are you sure ? I don’t see any connection to google analytics in ublock origin.

\>\>[This video's first part](https://youtu.be/rIR3PpQ82yE)<< is his pitch for the website if you want to hear it from him directly. But basically he wants to make a website that is fully ad-free, truly independant and community-funded, not funded by publishers or venture capital. With pieces written not by AI bots but actual people that don't need to pander to SEO in their titles or articles.

Nah I can’t agree with this. I don’t think there are many games with anti-cheats solely on the server. Even Valve has its VAC.

I agree that Kernel anti-cheats are bullshit, I don’t want a rootkit on my system. But if you are already running a closed-source game, it’s not a stretch to run its local anti-cheat.

And local anti-cheats make sense in and of themselves since you can’t easily detect things like visual hacks from the server-side.

Admittedly CDPR announced their own redemption arc for Cyberpunk 2077.
Though, I’m not holding my breath for this one.

It wasn’t utter shit, or even bad. It just doesn’t hook you like the first one does.

Dude, you started your comment with “No” and ended it with “You’re not making the point you think you’re makong”. That sounds a lot like disagreement to me.
But personally, I don’t completely agree with OP either.

They seem to have dropped all plans to plans to make their own recently.
The ROG Xbox Ally will still release, but no microsoft Xbox handheld.

Apparently, it’s not a completely new soundtrack. It’s a mix of the original soundtrack, completly new songs & artists, but also different tracks from returning artists featuring in the original, apparently those are changes suggested by Tony himself. Although some are probably licensing issues I would guess ?

And Jake Baldino who got to preview the game said he found them pretty good.

There is nothing to miss out on by just keeping a list of which games you have played and when. It’s just an extra step after finishing playing a game.

Does steam recording the last launch date of a game ruin your next experience with a game for you ?

Well, the point of such an app would be to have them listed I would guess.

Nope, if I’m mot wrong, everyone from the original team is back !

Well, if they have one thing, it’s the money.

While I agree with the spirit of moat answers, I don’t think that the few of us boycotting such popular games will harm or affecg them at all. We are a very small minority.

However, I do think we can support a sustainable niche market of good and sensible games.

So I think a it’s a better use of anyone’s time to try and support good games than spend your energy on bad games.

I think you can scan real world items to import them as 3d objects, and they use AI for that ?

inb4 they make one or two bad games and then close down their studios.

If they put Alan Wake 2 on GOG at least I would be happy :(

Great post as usual o/

Great post ! Thanks for sharing

There is way for performance improvements ans DLSS type technologies to both exist. We are not at the pinnacle of graphical quality. Studios will not suddenly stop putting better graphics in games with the higher performance they get out of new cards, and allot that capability for more frames.

Even if you have better - newer GPUs, DLSS-type stuff will always allow you to get more performance out of your rig. I am not even talking about frame-grn since I have not tested that yet. Just the upscaling.

How about showing more than 2 consecutive seconds of parkour ?

I think it’s properly dead as the studio has been disbanded.

Tyler McVicker and Gabe Follower are saying that HL3 is in heavy development currently. Apparently they even have hired experienced devs from Rockstar, Id Software, Epic Games, Respawn, Sucker Punch and others to work on the game.

That’s awesome. Thanks for checkong o/

They did not make sell the game. Their publisher has been shuttered, the game is still theirs, it’s just that people who used to deal with publishing aren’t there anymore.

At least read the article before making statements like that.

Speedrunning isn’t THAT popular. If you want to chase trends there are much easier ways other than spending thousands of hours on a single game to have low chances of make a record.

10% seems rather high for Godot, is it really that popular ?

Looks cool, but kickstarter. Also the article says it doesn’t have a trackpad but what’s that empty area on the right of the space key ? I really like the placement of that thing.
