Note the bold word …
Kosovo Albanians belong to the ethnic Albanian sub-group of Ghegs,[10] who inhabit the north of Albania, north of the Shkumbin river, Kosovo, southern Serbia, and western parts of North Macedonia.
Now what is racism?
prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.
Explain to me, how this isn’t racism?
There will be no new leagues or tournaments that effect the status quo. Established leagues and federations will not be making any changes unless it involves a lot of money, without hindering any current revenue streams.
Football, at its core, is ingrained at a cultural level in many countries, and no amount of money from Saudi, or China, or the US will change that. True fans see the Saudi vanity project for what it is, and while they may attract the plastics, in time nothing will change.
I’m a Canadian. We play hockey. It’s what we do, and it’s why, despite our small population, we dominate on a global level. It’s a community thing, it’s a family thing, it’s a cultural thing. Money won’t change that. It takes generations to create that.
China failed, and so will Saudi. Minor things will happen every decade or so to suit a new generation but when I die in 40-50 years, things will basically be the same.
The only way they are escaping the death spiral is for teams to adopt attacking styles of play while also investing in, cheap, young attacking talent. Football is an international sport and outside of Barca and Madrid the other teams need to attract new fans and they won’t be doing that with murder ball. I’m the average fan the league needs to attract and I personally don’t want to watch a bunch of teams play 60-70 mins of slow, defensive and occasionally brutal football.
Brighton have made a case for smaller teams who want to compete and it’s time for some teams to start looking at how they can adopt some of Brighton’s philosophies and emulating them.
Technically, yes.
I haven’t had the luxury of sitting down and watching games as closely as I’d like to, but Klopp is doing something different this year. Ive s¹een Gakpo start in the CM slot while Mac Allister has been the DM basically.
Given their depth issues at CM, plugging the DM role for one year isn’t a big problem. I should probably go check YouTube for an in depth analysis of their tactics this year when I find some time.
Every 100 million raised by player sales can fund 500 million of purchases if the players sign five-year contracts.
The problem with this theory is that it isn’t perpetual and it ignores the debt that continues to grow. See below.
Kicking the can further down the road while accruing more dept isn’t sustainable and I’m not sure what the end goal is. Spending 1b doesn’t guarantee success (ask Man U fans) and if Chelsea can’t get their shit together and get into CL regularly they will eventually end up in a financial dumster fire.
As for the players and the manager, I’m not optimistic in how it will all play out. Poch is a good manager and I’m sure he will turn things around from the mess that was last year, but I don’t see how this squad gets beyond 7th, especially if Brighton, Brentford and Villa continue playing as well as they are.
Without Kane, 8th or 9th place and with Kane maybe 6th, probably 7th.
Even with their easier schedule I still don’t see them finishing above City, Arsenal, Newcastle, United or Liverpool. I’m inclined to add Villa to the list as well as I think Emery won’t do as well as last year but they should still be very competitive.
Honestly feel like Chelsea and Tottenham are in the same boat and they should be fighting for 7th and 8th.
Chelsea took 29 players on their preseason tour of the United States, despite allowing 12 first-team players to depart in this summer transfer window
“That is why I need to make clear we don’t need a bigger squad. We need 22, 23, 24 players and that’s it. I’m so sorry because maybe the decisions will be tough, but we need to build a good, balanced team if we want to compete for big things.”
I understand that in a direct comparison the answer is no, but from a sporting perspective remaining in the top 4 is imperative and I’m sure there is some value there that is quite subjective.
I don’t know how they compete in the market at this point in time, given how much their competitors are willing to spend on fees and wages. CL would help in attracting talent but that doesn’t seem like a reality in the next 2 or 3 years.
Tottenham is in a tough spot and there is no right answer IMO, although everything depends on where they plan on finishing in the league. If they feel like a top 6 finish, possibly top 4, is achievable then I could see why they think holding onto Kane would be a wise choice.
That being said I don’t think they finish top 6. City, Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool, United should all finish within the top 5, and after that there is still Villa, Chelsea and Brighton to contend with. Tottenham still hasn’t addressed their woeful defense, and you can’t rely on Kane to score as much as he did last year (god forbid he gets injured) so those around him really need to step up.
Personally I say sell, re invest, and re build, as I don’t think they have what it takes to make top 4 and losing Kane on a free will be a nightmare. No where in that squad will you find the personnel to replace what he offers, and Levy is notoriously cheap so how are getting a 100m Forward on a shoestring budget?
Very few teams will be able to afford him, and even fewer can afford that type of fee. PSG really screwed themselves and they have absolutely no leverage in this situation.
Mbappe is going to RM for free, and PSG can throw whatever fit they want but the facts will always remain the same. They turned down 200m, they gave him a 2 yr contract, and now they are acting like brats now that he wants to leave.
PSG won’t learn from this, will throw around even more money, then will be surprised when their mercenaries show no loyalty, again.
I think Emery has the talent to keep you guys up near the top 6, but the extra games definitely will create a few issues, especially if you go deep into the competition… it is Emery after all.
Your league success will also depend on those around you and whether they rise to the occasion or drop the ball. Brighton will be a wildcard, but I think they drop out of the top 8. Chelsea should improve but won’t make top 6 IMO. Liverpool should improve but their entirely new midfield is an unknown and I’m curious how long they take to adapt. Tottenham needs a defender and they could be a good team, but they also need goals from someone who isn’t name Kane.
It should be interesting this year in the league.
I don’t see Chelsea coming back this year. Poch will get them playing better but I can’t see how they will fix all their problems in one season.
Over the past 3 windows they have had such high turnover, and they lost a lot of experienced players. I expect half a season of poor results where they sit mid table ish and a good second half where they finish 7th or 8th.
Caceido would help them immensely, they need to sign him badly.
Yes and no.
Yes, in that he will improve and Poch’s system should suit him a little better.
No, cause I don’t think he hits the level that many expect him to, this year. If Poch and him are given time I expect them both to do well, but patience will be needed and I don’t think either will get the time they need.
Them with Erikson/Bruno would be a formidable midfield.
I’m curious to see who they sign this summer as they need to fill 2 vital roles and it’s not like there are many quality options at this point. With everyone around them addressing the issues in their squad I’d be nervous if I were a Man U fan.
United just spent 70m on Casemiro last year and as things stand, I dont see how they drop 90m+ on his replacement a year later.
Bayern and City won’t over pay for players, and I’m guessing Brighton are going to want around 90-100m, so both teams probably won’t make a bid.
Chelsea is the only team who has the money and a starting spot open in the mid, but knowing their habit of overpaying (lately) I’m wondering if Brighton try to fleece Chelsea.
I just don’t see them getting top 4 with Arsenal and Newcastle being as strong as they are. To make matters worse Liverpool have addressed their midfield issues, and who knows what will happen with Chelsea, it’s not like their squad lacks talent and Poch is a good manager (don’t let his PSG stint fool you)
I’m really shocked there wasn’t a few other teams looking at JWP this summer, given the relatively low price.
