I installed a nevernude model that was more Nord-looking in my opinion and also some clothes to use with bodyslide and one of the dresses was clipping so it would cover the entire screen in an eternally shifting void and crash if I looked directly at it. 10/10 would play again.

I actually had no idea what was causing it until it happened in a different area of the game and then I connected the dots that two NPCs wearing exactly the same item of clothing affected by mods were in those locations. Otherwise I’d have never fixed it and just been effectively banned from 2 taverns.

Whenever developers say “Choices Matter” I just kind of filter it out because it’s never come true yet.

Kind of strange to see all these big updates to PoE while PoE 2 gets perpetually delayed.

The “currencies” are all ingame. Because PoE has no actual currency like gold pieces or anything, players trade in consumable items like Chaos Orbs and Chromatic Orbs that augment items with random outcomes. The introduction of a market ingame helps facilitate trades that players were previously using external websites and forums to make.

Even the NPC shops trade for identification scrolls and have “recipes” where you put in ID scrolls to get teleportation scrolls and you can keep trading upwards.

Diablo III wishes it could be PoE.

Oh yes it does. We can absolutely judge what we have seen so far. For some reason a narrative of this type is trending: main character is great because they’re great and awesome and everything they do is perfect, and the bad guy person is bad because they just are, and we can’t see this for ourselves so we need to be told?

We see it in movies, TV Shows, and Videogames, and people are rightly getting really sick of it.

There was zero gameplay in the trailer, except for maybe a walking animation, but I admit I missed the nuance of them describing the antagonist while a bunch of scenes of not-that-person flashed inbetween dialogue.

Storywriting needs to come before all other aspects of a narrative driven RPG like the Fable titles. The development being ongoing is no excuse for that. The only time I can think of that story changes to an ongoing development resulted in a decent product was FFX and maybe the movie Emperor’s New Groove but at the same time it’s hard not to feel like we were robbed of the story it could have been.

From where I sit, good and critically acclaimed games are plentiful and if you can make a game then it’s easy to make a good one: just don’t be a greedy idiot and make the game you want to play.

If the developer doesn’t want to be badgered about finishing his game then he shouldn’t be selling it unfinished, it comes with the territory. The problem is they went and complained.

The other day I saw a Developer that was sad people don’t like the new Fable commercial. I was interested so I watched it and it’s some Mulan/Captain Marvel cookie cutter plot where the entire commercial is some dude singing the praises for a random woman (presumably the playable character), and then an evil smoky hand holding an evil wizard staff appears on screen for like 2 seconds. For all we know that female MC could be literally Hitler, we were told absolutely nothing about the game, setting, or characters except that the narrator is a retired hero. They have no depth or motivations.

Hopefully it was just a damn awful trailer and not the death of the series.

If workers only made unfinished parts and products and complained that consumers don’t appreciate it enough, then that would be a serious problem. This dev is complaining that people badger him on how to improve and finish his game while still selling it as Early Access on Steam.

There are a lot of articles like this one lately saying Gamers don’t appreciate the products we’re given and that we complain too much. Those companies. All of them. Manor Lords is still Early Access on steam. If the developer can’t be bothered to develop his unfinished game while taking our money then that’s on him, not us.

How to be successful long term:

  1. Make a good game

  2. Don’t ship your game with a rootkit

  3. Don’t ban entire regions from your game

“Leaning inappropriate”. And it was through Twitch’s message system. Also no confirmation on a meetup, that is hearsay, but hypothetically if Doc said he would be at a convention in character that itself isn’t a red flag. Markiplier meets kids at conventions all the time, gets autograph lines out the doors.

Twitch already “did nothing”. The supposed chat logs were from 3 years before his ban.

The fuck? Where did I defend him?

I’m just dismissing delusions and mass hysteria by presenting what we do know versus what we don’t. I don’t NEED access to what was said, my entire statement is that we don’t know what was said.

If you’re a 40 y/o entertainer using your exclusive platform’s built in chat to engage with your fans and audience without a filter, you haven’t done anything wrong. What do you call inappropriate? Using the word ass, either figuratively or literally? Talking about hemorrhoids? Religion? Marijuana? There really is no information to work with here, and Doc couldn’t provide it even if he wanted to.

I would be very surprised if an 3 year statute of limitations were somehow involved in all of this. And I’m not defending the Doc’s actions or statements, I AM saying “we don’t know.” Because we don’t.

It doesn’t seem like such a large gap or grey area to me. You can tell a woman “Nice T-Shirt” and that is fine but “Nice Tits” is not fine, it’s a pretty clear division to me. What could the Doc say that would qualify him as the monster people are calling him but also not illegal?

They attempted to not pay out his contract btw. He had to sue them to get that, and they payed it out. If they had evidence of such behavior from him then I’m sure courts would agree that his own actions destroying his own public image would have been more than enough reason to cancel the contract.

I’m not defending any potential actions he took, but:

There are laws about sexting minors, so if he had done that then he would have broken it and they would have plenty of evidence of that.

If nobody above 18 is morally justified to be in a chat with anybody under 18 then we’ve got some serious societal level issues to fix.

EDIT: And btw they tried to get out of paying him 20M, but realized they had no grounds to do so when he started his lawsuit. They had incentive, here. They wanted to not pay him.

He never tweeted that he “sexted a minor.”

Link to HIS TWEET

“These were casual, mutual conversations that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate, but nothing more.”

Now, I personally pretty regularly say a lot of shit that can be considered “inappropriate,” but that does not equate to sexual on its own. I’m interested in seeing how this story develops, but it seems most people have already made up their minds and branded him a criminal.

I am willing to believe the accusations, but I won’t take the word of people who tried to weasel out of his contract termination fees.

If they had evidence of sexting in 2017 then why didn’t they report it to the police? Why quietly ban him in 2020?

Seems to me like they had monetary incentive to remove the Doc.

Then don’t sexually text any minors. Very simple. Now that I’ve helped you sort out your odd unrelated moral dilema, do you have anything to say about the Doc?

  1. I haven’t defended him, I’ve consistently said he might have committed a crime, though that would be unlikely given it was 7 years ago.

  2. Labeling everyone you don’t like as a pedophile isn’t a good look.

Because I think mob justice is criminal. If Dr Disrespect did wrong then he did wrong, but we don’t know anything other than the fact that he has in fact spoken to a person who was under 18, which in itself is not a crime.

Twitch banned him 3 years after the supposed contact between the two, and attempted to go without paying out his contract termination until he started a lawsuit and Twitch settled it.

Part of me wants to give some benefit of the doubt but it’s really difficult. Maybe he was trying to meet up at the nintendo panel for upcoming Super Smash Bros Ultimate and the Twitch admins read “I can’t wait to smash with you.”

If DrDisrespect has actually been wronged then we will find out eventually after a defamation suit, part of the reason they settled it last time might be because the mere allegations being released to the public could be harmful but that cat is out of the bag.

WDYM I don’t know what I was talking about? I never claimed anything about whether steam or the publishers control prices, I was just making a statement about how no matter who controls the prices it’s not in violation of any current UK laws or rights.

Well yeah but even if it were hypothetically something steam could control, would that really be grounds for a lawsuit?

I thought maybe they were saying regional differences in prices were the cause of concern, but again that’s not really a basis for a lawsuit, is it?

Don’t blame them after the obscure parts of Dark Souls in the console era where people had no idea how to catch a ride with the Giant Crow back to the undead asylum, and trade items via Snuggly at the bird’s nest. Just one of many examples.

I risk sounding like a fucking shill, but it’s a purchase to own the game, the subscription is only for ESO Plus which gives access to all DLCs without having to purchase them individually.

For sure the mechanics are wack, but it’s got fully voiced dialogue for tons of quests, it’s got material gathering and a bunch of other exploration based activities to do. It’s also got equipment and consumable crafting, but TBH not much of it is actually useful except for Provisioning.

Argonian Templar, stuck with the training gear until summerset isles and swapped to Psyjic Gear to prep for trials.

Combat Difficulty? I haven’t experienced that yet and I’m at CP 385. When does the difficulty start? Are you talking about the super late game trials?

Oh you mean lack of difficulty, yeah I feel that it’s sort of a let down.

My theory is that they’ve been reallocating teams into Zenimax Online studios for projects like ESO. TBH I’ve been playing it and it’s pretty cool compared to the dated feel of Vanilla Skyrim. If any of you own it, ESO Plus is free until June 19th, you just have to head to the Crown Store and click the free trial button.

House Rules: 5 Sequential Cards high value > 5 Sequential Cards low value > 4 of a kind high value > 4 of a kind low value > 3 of a kind high value> 3 of a kind low value > 2 of a kind high value > 2 of a kind low value Aces worth more than Kings for pairing, but a sequence of Ace to 5 is a low value sequence Only Numbers are considered, signs like clubs/spades/hearts/diamond don't count towards pairs. If you tie then the point pool is split. Everybody starts at 0 and their scores go negative as they play the first round until they win. Each player ante the entry and is given 5 face down cards of which 3 are revealed immediately. Folding means you lose the entry, staying means you pay an additional amount equal to entry, you can double the bet for this phase (double the entry adding up to triple the initial ante total) and force every player to do the same or fold, and a new card is revealed. This repeats a second time so that all 5 cards are now known to you. Finally, everyone has their cards revealed to everyone else. Read them and weep. After Three Rounds the lowest scoring player(s) is eliminated. If I get a few interested people then I plan to make an interface for it which receives it's cards data from a server. There are no current plans for wagering or prizes, but maybe I'll see what we can do if I get some good feedback.
