No worries. Spreading the word about great apps is one of the reasons I’m on Lemmy.

I guess the first thing you need to watch out for is making sure the Pixel you buy isn’t tied to a specific cell service provider (carrier unlocked). Here in Canada all our phones are carrier unlocked so I didn’t bother checking into this.

I scan qr codes all the time with the grapheneos stock camera.

What steps have you taken to fix the problem?

Last update was in August. I’m less concerned about updates for apps without internet access.

I see nothing wrong with using Gboard if it’s network access is disabled. I find it’s auto-correct kinda terrible.
