We already know this. I guess it’s nice to know it’s true.

Who is this “we” you speak of? Do you have a mouse in your pocket?

I for one didn’t “know” this and I don’t believe it. It may not have been intentional and planned but that is indeed how it shook out. They focused on gtao while neglecting and then eventually canceling the aforementioned games/expansions.

“Know” is too strong of a word here. “Feeling” is a better word to use here.

EDIT For example, We have a feeling. This is the case. I guess it’s nice to know it’s true.

The “we” I’m talking about is Rockstar fans. Who feel Rockstar been doing this.

That’s not what those words mean at all. You’re jumping through hoops (and failing) just to avoid not being right, stop it, it’s not becoming.

A example you and others may be able to grasp.

Let’s say I focus on my work instead of spending time with my wife/gf/whatever. Despite the fact that I don’t want that relationship to fail and I am not actively sabotaging it, I can’t really be surprised when said wife/gf/whatever leaves me because I wasn’t actively nurturing the relationship.

During this, the GTAO team was making great progress on their work and seeing huge success so Rockstar decided to lend them more resources to build out GTAO which ultimately paid off hugely.

Isn’t that kind of the same thing? They got rid of the online-focused producer, and then allocated more resources to GTAO while hiring to backfill people who left. They could’ve prioritized GTA V DLCs or the other projects, but they didn’t.

Then those projects got cancelled because they didn’t have people allocated, so they didn’t make progress. They later allocated people to RDR2, but there was still that 2-year gap where they focused on GTAO.

So I’m going to interpret that as them getting cancelled in favor of GTAO. And then later in favor of a bigger RDR2, which I’m guessing consisted of Red Dead Online, which they neglected because it didn’t get the reception they hoped for.
