I have my sound muted but still heard that PS1 logo sound so loud in my head I had the urge to turn the volume down on the old twist-knob tv I used to play on.
That OG Playstation powerup sound had oomph. They never topped it, imo. Though it was anxiety inducing when as a child I was trying to sneak in game time after my parents had gone to sleep.

I still have both consoles. Still works. My wife and I play once in a while.

Needed more creativity then just turn on the ps1 and then the TV
Or mute the TV before powering on the playstation. But sometimes you don’t think about it and the PS1 hits you with that “BWOOOW” immediately.
