An AMD Strix Halo engineering sample has been benchmarked, and the leaked Time Spy results show the Radeon iGPU very nearly matching the average Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 desktop GPU, hinting at a massive improvement over the AMD Radeon RX 890M.
Also seems worth pointing out that ASUS was shipping Flows with a dedicated 4070 mobile last gen, which also trades blows with the desktop 4060 in ideal scenarios. Similar pricing, too. So it’s not necessarily a direct power boost, but if they are matching the dGPU alterantives I’d be interested in seeing what that does for efficiency, weight and cooling requirements.

As the article points out - 128gb ram and likely better cooling than a laptop will ever see
