Heroes of Might and Magic is the best Might and Magic

especially 3.

Saw this on another patient gamers community and figured I’d share it here too.

HOMM3 was my favorite by far. Such great memories of playing that game in college.

I’ve been meaning to replay it recently. Think I’ll bump it up in the queue.

Any other HOMM fans here?

3 is just gaming perfection really.

Still playing it from time to time. I used to play it with my father, and with my friends on family parties.

I played it a lot when I was in school.

I spent so many hours on that game!

There were two (IIRC) extensions too, and I still remember that enormous homemade map that took hours and hours to finish …

Glorious times!

Played so many hours of all the older ones, but most of that was in homm3. When I was in college the only copy we could find was a fully Spanish translation, only added to the fun to see everything in another language haha

As someone who discovered their love for RPGs with Clouds of Xeen and Darkside of Xeen (M&M4/5), I of course have to disagree with it. 😅

It is, however, the best HoM&M, IMO.

Really enjoy this game with the fan expansion and HD launcher.

If you’re looking for something less involved that scratches that same itch then Circle Empires is a fun game that takes a lot of DNA from HOMM3.

HOMM3 is one of the best games of all time. I’ve installed it on every computer I’ve had in the last 25 years.

I played homm3 with my siblings for like a week growing up and it was a blast and then it immediately grew old. not sure what it was.

we played a lot more aoe and scbw

If you play with differing skill levels it can snowball way harder than aoe for example.

In aoe you get into a new game after 15 - 30 minutes against a better opponent, in homm it can take way longer with the turn based system.

A gaming sub free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it’s price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don’t meet the system requirements, or just haven’t had the time to keep up with the latest releases.
