That’s a little worrisome as someone trying to transition from 18 years of iOS to GrapheneOS. It may not mean anything in terms of the phone’s continuation, though.

I can’t see Google abandoning Android, but they might kill Pixel.

Maybe I should hitch my horse to something based on OpenHarmony.

If you can get by with the apps available for it then could work. I use LineageOS on my phone and it works pretty well.

They’re going all-in on AIs for the average consumer, and they’re probably going to break their faces unless their AI plan is even more ambitious and is targeting governments and businesses

I hope that Pixel phones will not become as rare and coveted by the free software community in the near future as the Thinkpads of IBM’s golden age and the beginning of the Lenovo era

There is hope for the Thinkpads, as the 5th Gen T14 is apparently bringing back a lot of the reparability of the older models (namely, by returning replaceable RAM). I wouldn’t know, as I have a Gen 4 (not ideal, but just perfect considering how cheap I got it and how powerful it is).

But as far as I know, I can’t change the firmware and install Libreboot or Coreboot
