Recently it came to my attention that Marvel Rivals did a ban-wave for a whole bunch of players on macOS and some on Steam Deck (Linux) too. Now, their team have issued a statement on the situation.
For once it’s nice to see such a clear statement and continued support like this. This is the complete opposite to games like Apex Legends, Grand Theft Auto V, various Battlefield games and more that went and permanently blocked compatibility layers so players on Linux / Steam Deck cannot play them
I just switched to Linux Mint a few weeks ago, so hopefully I’m not banned! I’ll check later tonight and edit here if I am banned. Never played Rivals on Steam Deck so hoping they didn’t exclude other Linux users.
