Cities Skylines 2 is making road building and traffic management way better, as Paradox and Colossal Order fix our woes with roundabouts and split highways.
I hope the traffic logic gets an improvement. I remember having a lot of weird behavior with lane changes where every car would decide to change lanes at on specific spot on the road and line up to get to that spot.
Looking forward to see what else they’ll be improving on.
The headline says it solved “every road and traffic problem ever”, but the article itself makes no mention of bikes or active transport, nor of buses, trains, or public transport.

I’ve really been wanting to play Cities Skylines but don’t want to wait until October 😭

What I want even more is mixed use zoning which would probably improve traffic so much.
Edit: I just saw that they indeed have mixed used zoning!
I love CS but the traffic is unmanageable without traffic manager. As you said the ai makes stupid choices.

So consider me sceptical.
Also, there’s no mention of parking, so I expect this to be another San Jose simulator designed around automobiles.
CS felt like Traffic Sim instead of a city management game. Will this sequel be more of the same?
