Bungie, a studio which has been under fire for years by fans for lacklustre seasons in Destiny 2 - the only game they were working on, fired 250 people after firing 100 last October, now happily announces they are working on Marathon, more Destiny 2 stuff AND a mysterious third game so Sony can finally get that sweet, sweet live service game.

I don’t see a problem here.

We’ve known they’ve been working on other games for years now. A lot of the community thought Marathon would take resources away from D2 (to the point there’s a meme about Marathon being “The Destiny Killer”).

The denied those allegations about Marathon but not it turns out those were fairly accurate.

Yeah I’m off Destiny 2 for about two years now. Felt like detoxing from a drug ffs. But one of my favourite memes was the community accusing Bungie of stuff, Bungie denying said stuff, then Bungie admitting doing the stuff.

Good times. Don’t miss them at all.
