Stunlock made Bloodline Champions, the best game of all time for me. Then that died.
Then they made the next best thing, Battlerite. And then that died.
I’m hesitant to pick this up in case I really like it and it doesn’t live long enough for me to get my fill. I’ll wait and see what the player base looks like in a few months.
It’s a ton of fun if you’re into resource gathering base building games. Combat is fun and varied. No exp grind, your level is your equipment, so THAT’S the grind. Resources and equipment.
Totally recommend hosting your own server or paying for it if you can. Tried playing in the public servers and it’s brutal finding a spot when you land. PVP can be fun but not for everyone. And you can tweak the quality of life to your liking.
Is there a way to control the in game time when hosting a server or do you have to deal with the decay of (whatever decays) ? The game looks super fun with friends but some might be turned off if it becomes a chore
All of it is configurable. You can decide how many hours in a day or how fast the day progresses. You can adjust the multiplier for castle decay and resource consumption for maintenance and crafting. Very granular control of most aspects of all the systems.
And at the end of the day it’s your server so shoot an AdminAuth and you can use the give command to get the things you want or need. Have fun the way you want!
remember when v blood bosses were in a list instead of the cool menu we have now, Pepperidge Farms remembers
Back in my day we got powers through bosses, things were better when things were worse
(And yes I know these were added in the last major update)
In all seriousness I love the new spell system
Also the skull projectile gem that makes it split now spawns two that go straight rather than forking which as someone who summons friends rather than finding them, this is a welcome change
