I’m addressing this from the perspective of “If we take it as granted that this is an economic injustice, what’s the right way to address it,” but from the POV of Indians working at the salt factory or miners in the late 1800s having gunfights for their right to strike, they’d laugh their asses off at what’s being called “injustice” here.
the industry has shown that it can and will ignore anything else…not that i believe that legitimate death threats were made. i think it’s a sympathy ploy personally

People are reacting to the feeling of a lack of choice & nothing in it for them.
