Looking to get some Total War Games again, Rome, maybe Empire, Shogun. Wondering if those cheap like 200 dollar laptops will work for that, and if walmart is an ok place to get it, as best buy has burned me on defective electronics post 2020.

Thanks for any advice, was just going to use steam to play.

On a quick conversion, 200 USD is half what people ask in my country for a new, marginally decent laptop. If quality of the laptop you’re considering getting is on par, I doubt it’ll run anything big from after 2006. At most I can see it being used as a machine for emulation, playing simpler indie games, and playing older Windows games.

Also, with such a laptop, I’d be considering already either some very light Linux system, or Windows XP or Vista.
