They’re downgraded, yes. But to say they’re trash is a bit harsh. I still have no idea how they got DOOM 2016 and Eternal on the original Switch, and still surprised that they got Cyberpunk on the Switch 2. The Switch is undoubtedly the worst way to play most of those multi-platform games, but it’s also the cheapest to get started in. That does count for a lot in people’s eyes.

Doom looks shockingly good for a Switch 1 port. Not perfect, a little too fuzzy IMO, but still better than most Switch games.
