This is a real genuine question: Is Darktide good now?

Tbh as someone who played the game since beta, this feels like a proper, feature complete, 1.0 release with an additional class dlc. I think it’s a good game and low key wish I waited for this update to buy the game.

I love darktide, but hate space marine 2 because its everything I want in darktide but worse, ignoring the cool story/cutscenes. So take that as you will.

The bigger thing is I’m waiting minimum two probably three years after the next fatshark release. Wasn’t aware of the trend with previous games and now I know better.

I also just started playing a month or so ago. The new Arbites class is ridiculously fun (and kinda OP), and I’m really enjoying the game for what it is - a co-op PvE smash-em-up in a great setting. Haven’t encountered any toxic players, there are a bunch of community-developed UI mods to improve the UI (not necessary but I like having them), and the difficulty levels scale well.

FatShark is raking people over the coals for cosmetic MTX, the community is correct there. The cosmetics you can buy with in game currency are just lame recolors of the same armor and gun skins.

I started playing it about a month ago, and honestly I think it’s fantastic, granted I never played Vermintide, but I’ve had a great time with dark tide so far. I already got 4 characters to level 30 (the max) including the one that just released.

I personally think it’s very fun. Haven’t tried the DLC yet, but I plan to.
