The original 1998 Quake 2 engine one didn’t suck; the second one, the Source engine, episodic one, did. And if they’re remaking the second one, maybe the idea is to fix that. Take the good ideas it had and build a much better game around it.

Maybe that’s what I’m remembering. I thought the levels were way too big
