My bad. Here you go:
This is the sequel to Street Cleaner: The Video Game (there is not Street Cleaner 2), and the original game got great reviews. So far, the reviews have been just as positive.
This has 16-bit style graphics and a killer soundtrack. Also, there’s full gamepad support for both Xbox and DualShock controllers.
The introductory price is C$18.71.
This entire game was made by Nintendo vets. The description mentions Takaya Imamura, but the music was made by Shinobu Amayake who did the music for Stunt Racer FX and Wario’s Woods.
Nice art style here, and the music lives up to the pedigree. Full gamepad support. So far, the reviews are mostly positive.
The introductory offer is C$19.50.
A card-based RPG with 16-bit style graphics. Not much in the way of features but it has mostly positive reviews.
I’m on the fence on this one. It seems the entire appeal seems to be the girls. Which is fine, I like girls. But I hope that it has more to offer.
That said, it has an introductory offer of C$13.59.
This one has a 98% positive rating based on 125 reviews, so I have high hopes! Desecrators is a 6DOF FPS, similar to Descent. And I’m buzzing about that because not many games of that genre are made nowadays.
Full gamepad support online co-op. Current introductory price of C$16.56.
I really hope this is as good as everyone says.
This is a re-release of Shounen Ninja Sasuke, a SNES game that was developed by Sunsoft. I realize that this is the first official Western release, but they really should have kept to the original name so that fans of the original could find this game more easily.
This has full gamepad support with Xbox and DualShock controllers. Couch co-op is also available.
I kind of wish CRT filters were available, but at least the 4:3 aspect ratio is preserved.
Also, this has an introductory price of C$6.23, so at least it’s cheap.
2K’s latest AAA title. Both online and couch PvP. And there’s online co-op too. This also has full gamepad support with Xbox and Dual Shock controllers.
At C$89.99, this is super expensive – so the in-app purchases are beyond ridiculous. And I can’t believe all the DLC is C$107.46. But at least there’s a demo available.
A 2D game with pixel art graphics reminiscent of 8-bit computer games. Gamepad is required – can’t play this with a keyboard. There’s a couch co-op mode. Not many reviews on this but there’s a demo available, and the dev currently has a live broadcast going on. With an introductory price of C$5.19, it’s quite inexpensive.
A re-release of the following Yu-Gi-Oh! games:
Full gamepad support, verified for Steam Deck, and online PvP.
This was developed by Digital Eclipse (a.k.a., Atari) and published by Konami. It should be good, and it mostly has decent reviews. But a few people complain about the price tag, which is C$59.99.
I have no idea if this is good but it’s clearly made, with love, by a solo indie developer. You can play couch co-op and this has gamepad support for Xbox and DualShock controllers. There’s something bizarre about the retro visuals that seems charming to me. Reasonably cheap, and this has Mac compatibility.
Another HOG published by Big Fish Games. Some people like these games, some hate them. Personally, I like HOGs. They offer hours of comfy entertainment. Plus, they’re low spec and work on most devices, including on Macs.
This is the follow-up to Ms. Holmes: The Case of the Dancing Men, which came out last year. Not a whole lot of reviews for that one, but here’s a sequel.
This is a re-release of Ninja Five-O, a Game Boy Advance game that had never been released onto another platform until now. Originally developed by Hudson Soft, it’s been ported to PC by Limited Run Games. In terms of graphics, it mostly preserves the original, keeping things at a 4:3 aspect ratio. Fittingly, this also has full gamepad support.
Personally, I think the price is a little too high, but if you’re a fan of this game, it’s now on Steam.
A re-release of a 1998 helicopter sim that’s still PC exclusive. Back in the day, it got good reviews. Some people will hate that this is no longer abandonware, but others will love that they can buy this legally for cheap. And it is cheap right now with an introductory price of C$5.84.
The graphics are preserved in glorious 4:3 aspect ratio. And this very much looks like a 90s PC game.
