Final Fantasy 14 director Naoki Yoshida has said the massively multiplayer online game has become too relaxed in the last few years so he and developer Square Enix are looking to increase the difficulty going forward.

Well this is definitely about time. Simplification, job homogenisation and cut down difficulty has been a compounding issue over the past what, three or so expansion cycles? I still can’t believe they removed the iconic Hissatsu: Kaiten from Samurai.

hmmm spend six years dumbing it down just to double back on it? yeah right. you designed your game for a casual audience. I aint playing with them again. they sucked at the dumb down version already
