This is amazing. In a few markets, Motorola is the only real choice for entry phones, besides some 4G Samsung models. Hope this arrives soon.
I don’t need to replace my current pixel, but when I do I’m definitely getting one of these. The psychological damage of seeing the Google logo on every reboot of my privacy focussed phone is intense.
I have been donating to the developers, $40 twice a year (automated) since they announced they were planning to support a non-Google device.
I was planning on switching in the future to Motorola, because they had external SD cards. And stylus support.
Now if they can keep that and put the os on those I know what I am buying in 3 years!
So does this mean we won’t have to give Google hundreds of $$$ to get one of their Pixels?🙏
You don’t have to do that right now. I got a used Pixel 8a that will have support until May 2031 for less than $200 from Craigslist and it works great.
that’s the hope
Nice, so I only need my phone to last a few years more and hopefully I can degoogle the next one
