I know the anecdotes get thrown around all the time, but I needed to backup about 40gbs off my wifes phone, so I connected it to her laptop USB 3.0, started the transfer after constantly waiting on things like the start menu and file browser to load, and it sits for awhile before eventually informing me it would take 3.5 hrs. I check up on it 30 minutes later and it had gone to standby because it’s not like it was doing anything, right? After eaiting for Settings to load and turning off power saver, I leave it be. Come back an hour later and it says that the storage was full, which is news to me because there is over a terrabyte of storage available. That’s when I realized that by putting the folder on the desktop while I transferred it with the intentions of organizing it later, I wasn’t putting it on the device at all, but uploading it to Onedrive, which filled up and stopped the transfer. This stuff was already backed up on to her Onedrive, I just wanted a local backup. So, I connected her phone to my linux machine and had it done in 20 minutes. What a complete waste of time.

For what it’s worth, only one player needs the DLC for everybody in the session to use it, which is pretty cool of the devs to allow that in this day and age.

Alan Wake and some other Remedy games are on the Steam Autumn sale for cheap if anyone is interested. And good stuff Atticus, I really enjoyed my playthrough. I think they did a great job with it. I appreciate the added depth to Cloud over the original.

That game is such a blast. I finished my first play through and immediately went for NG+.

Personally I wouldn’t say the 2nd was terrible. The first was a better game, but it was helped significantly by free post release updates, which DL2 has gotten a lot of a well. I was pretty impressed with the depth of the city and I like the slow infection aspect. I really miss having a vehicle, but if I remember correctly, there wasn’t a vehicle in the first one at launch and it was added later. Just my 2 cents.

Same. I spent about three months deep in the game, and then I realized how steep the grind was and stopped playing it. It was neat though, so it would be fun to check it out again and see what has changed in over 20 years.

Yeah, that would have been great to have a tundra and jungle biome. Spawning patrol groups would have been cool, and having to defend FOBs periodically from attack or risk losing them. Ah, what could have been.

Infinite is no perfect game, but to me it felt like a great foundation for a game. I liked the open world aspect a lot, but it needed at least double the content in my opinion.

It’s a great game, and reeeeeally scratches that itch. There is a solid port for android as well.

Endless Sky is a solid spiritual successor in my opinion.

I played through them all a couple of years ago. They hold up great in my opinion, and 2 got a great remaster, so the graphics are solid. If you are talking about ODST specifically, then I’ll say it’s one of my favorites. It has a totally different feel to it that helps to flesh out the game universe a lot, and being so damn squishy makes the gameplay a lot different. There’s a sort of noir vibe to it too, so it definitely stands apart from the other games.

I really enjoyed this game, but never figured out how to keep the ones that phase in and out from escaping.

I was pretty upset that my grandma got me a Genesis instead of a Super Nintendo, but I played the hell out of Sonic 2, Sonic and Knuckles, and Mortal Kombat. No Super Mario World though. :(

Atomicrops. It’s a solid rogue-lite farming game that is a lot of fun to just pop into and make a run.

I have an S24 and I don’t use the game center myself, in fact I un-installed it. I paired up my Xbox Elite controller to test it and did not see any kind of ad or pop up, but I do have the Game Pass app installed. I was using LG phones for the last several years and was going to get a Pixel 8 since LG stopped making phones, but read terrible reviews on the Pixel 8. I was worried Samsung was going to be a terrible, locked down ad ridden experience, but honestly it’s been fine. Lmk if I can help any further, and good luck!
