Have to partly disagree. The loading screens, whilst usually brief, were very annoying.
Elite Dangerous, No Man’s Sky or Space Engineers accomplish similar tasks without needing those, or having to limit the accessible planet area.
I understand that those were limitations of the engine, but it could just be speculation.

The number list is how markdown works. You can enter all 1’s and it will automatically create ordered list.
Handy when you may need to edit list items, as you dont need to renumber even in plain text.
Markdown spec should allow for explicit number by using a bracket ‘)’ instead of a dot, but it may not work everywhere.

These days, there are various techniques to have minimal to no visible loading.
This is great for general immersion.
But I think loading screens are only part of the repetitiveness of travelling in general: watching ship depart, selecting destination, watching travel animation, etc.
The game wore out quickly for me, and I’d not hesitate to start skyrim or fallout run #10(0?) in its place.
The thing is, this is likely going to affect their sales to some degree.
As a parent, you may have age lock on your child’s account, or search games by rating, or just not know what this game is when asked to buy it but judging by rating.
I don’t know how significant of an impact that is, but it’s unfair.
They keep getting stick drift at insane rates (anecdotal evidence), which sony ensures is a great pain to get fixed, assuming you’re in warranty.
Ive just replaced one stick in my friends ds5 with the hall effect type, which should outlast the rest of the controller and cost £1.50 (which I’m sure would be less wholesale).
I get why people are against the change, but there are many reasons why majority of websites do the same.
I can’t speak to the particular width limit steam has chosen, but if you take any website and remove width restrictions, you’ll quickly find out why.
Trying to read a block of text? Now it’s a single line spanning your whole monitor.
Trying to scroll a gallery using a button on the side? You have to move your cursor across the whole screen to choose between left and right.
Want to look at various images? You now have to turn your entire head.
God help the designers if they try to put out a coherent set of visuals that works on 4:3 and ultra-wide* both.
This didn’t really use to be an issue, but monitors and resolutions have gotten both huge and varied. It’s hard enough to accommodate mobile and desktop.
