Oh it absolutely is fixable, plenty of other options that work just not as ideally as one could hope, they are not yet fixed because it is a radical idea that few are aware of needing that is in need of a nice ecosystem. Fixing the addiction is turning into promoting personhood is the motto basically.
Oh yeah I’m past that point of being truly addicted by doing those kinds of things, basically comes down to removing what is noise for you as an individual and what is signal for you as an individual, to improve your experiences in a goal aligned way.
I’m more interested in how this can be taken further, that’s kinda my fault though my thoughts on this stuff is kinda scrambled right now. I’ve gone past the point of fixing specific apps and experiences and micro routines and wanting to see if there is a way to make things more fluid and cohesive because presently its a process of me identifying problems and fixing them with lots of up front work to find ways to do what I want, I’m find with the lots of up front work but at some point an approach becomes so comprehensive that it needs a system to be done better.
I think one barrier to making this happen is that experiences of services or apps are best had on the thing they provide so it makes less sense to have an agent compatibility layer in certain cases when its a priority to have the user experience in tact so it can only ever be an on or off access to certain apps sometimes.

I don’t know what I want out of a launcher but every launcher never does quite do it for me, currently I am using aio and have been for awhile its been nice but somehow I keep thinking something else should be interesting too but it never does seem to be.
For a time before aio I was using niagara. Maybe its just grass is greener or something
The swipe feature isn’t quite done yet, they have a dataset they are building that you can contribute to in a fun way if you want.
Soon the swipe feature will be good.

I think the rabbit ai device or the humane pin have the right idea or at least the essence of the right idea but they failed spectacularly because ai has not yet matured enough to be reliable and consistent which in this case is a matter of data collection and time before it happens due to ai models fundamentally acting like storage banks of thinky ability.
We do in fact want devices that do the boring things for us with minimal effort so that we may do actually important things whatever that may be, this will always be a rolling window based on technological capability of what technology allows us to do, so far it has allowed us to have global communication automated in various ways but not fully and I think the next phase of that is these models being able to do things involving complex thought that you can’t simply just push a button or two for.
A device that does this fundamentally and reliably will be a game changer for getting all the simple boring tasks done.
Do you have a better word to use for fixing being made into the product of consumerism?
