I played the original silent hill for the first time without knowing anything about the series and i think i am missing something. The gameplay was obviously clunky but still enjoyable using savestates. My problem comes from the fact that it wasn't really scary (probably because i don't get scared easily) and from the story. When i reached the ending i was very interested in knowing what was going to happen, only to be faced with a basic bossfight without much information about the story (bad ending). Then i checked the wiki and apparently there are multiple endings whose requirements are not explained in game (or at least it seems so). Is it worth replaying the game using a guide to see the other endings or should i just watch them on YouTube? And why is it considered a masterpiece?
