Bit of an oddball, I got the itch to finish Trauma Team on the Wii since I didn’t the first time, so I got a USB sensor bar and I’m playing through it on Dolphin!
I really enjoy the Trauma Center Franchise, bums me out they never made another one, would have loved to see what it would have looked like on the 3ds or a modern entry on the Wii U/Switch.
Cortana is amazing, the new Siri is smarter than ever, Google Gem—
Yadda yadda yadda, they’re all been promising these amazing personal assistants for years and they all sucked, now they’re promising they’ll finally stop sucking and surprise! Still haven’t.
We know your next Assistant is gonna be dumb as rocks too, come up with a more interesting lie at this point…
Not exactly?
If they make it work nicely on surfaces that aren’t perfectly straight, you could use it while playing on the couch.
Would be particularly amazing if games support switching between modes instantly, so you could for example be playing a game, open your inventory, slap your joycon on the couch to organize your stuff w/ mouse mode, close your inventory and pick it up resuming play in joycon mode 🤯
Oh you should read the next part
The pandemic gave us an unnatural pop for gaming, where we thought, ‘oh my god, gaming is the biggest thing in the world’. Yeah, when you’re locked down, it is the biggest thing in the world. But in a regular world scenario, you’ve got to combat against all the other distractions that are available to young people. And I’m afraid that we’re not facing that threat head on as an industry.
Motherfuckers see unnatural conditions caused by a once-in-a-lifetime event, think they’re the hottest shit ever, and when the numbers come back to normal levels they see other forms of entertainment as a “threat” that should be “faced head on”.
Lmao. How can an industry be so full of itself?
Steam Deck already does 1, 2 and 3.
Now pair it with constant nags (Enhance your experience by signing into a Microsoft account, Subscribe to Gamepass! Have you tried Copilot???), and Microsoft’s inability to ever add anything new to their controllers (bye bye Gyro and Touchpads) and you’ve lost me.
It’s just a computer. Microsoft can’t kill it off (thankfully)
