It does work as a mouse by default. Valve calls it “Lizard Mode”, and you use the touchpad to move the cursor and the triggers to click.
But yeah I do agree they should have made standard buttons and sticks act as XInput and the touchpad as the mouse by default.
that being said, I fucking hate microsoft for stifling controller innovation with their antiquated ass xinput so i when i see a controller not support it i have to force myself to not think “god bless”

I recall someone here on Lemmy emailing their support and they replied confirming it’s bootloader unlockable.
Graphene is unlikely because of their ultra tight security requirements (I really believe the only time we ever get a supported phone outside of the Pixel is when Graphene makes their own or partners directly with a OEM) but hey, most likely Lineage!
Tetris effect (not the game)
And to think Gyro could become much more mainstream had it became a part of Xinput.
If all 3 console manufacturers had it, it’d alleviate the concern publishers have of having a cross-platform release with discrepant features, thus allowing more games to support it.
But no, of course they won’t do it. Jokes on me for expecting Microsoft to do anything remotely useful to the consumer.
