A bit worried about the MediaTek processor (because of Custom ROM support) but 5 Major Android upgrades sounds pretty decent.

Hmm, the footage from their Reveal Trailer looks a bit rough. For something aiming for a Fall release it looks rather early in development…

That’s gonna take a whopping 10 lines of userscript to defeat, hell I already had to use one to stop them from dropping the video quality when unfocused (so I could watch streams in PiP properly)

I suppose the Meta Quest headsets are still very well liked.
They can’t make people use their dogshit VRChat clone no matter what but the hardware itself is fine.

Well, anyone who gets these need to ensure they only buy physical games otherwise they’ll be left with a bunch of games they can’t do anything with at the end of their lease…

Look, I know Croteam had good reasons to do Talos Principle 2 in UE5 instead of the Serious Sam Engine but ouch owie oof my rx 580 🥲

At this point you might as well wait for the PS6 and the inevitable TLOU Complete Collection PS6 Edition

You can use Widgets with Niagara, though if you want to use multiple you need to create a “Widget Stack” and that’s a paid feature.
If you only want one tho, the free version works.

I recall someone here on Lemmy emailing their support and they replied confirming it’s bootloader unlockable.
Graphene is unlikely because of their ultra tight security requirements (I really believe the only time we ever get a supported phone outside of the Pixel is when Graphene makes their own or partners directly with a OEM) but hey, most likely Lineage!

Yeah I clicked that “Fully Ramblomatic” review sincerely hoping the new Thief would be at least passable. Oh boy…

My six-year-old

Goddamn, we’re getting old aren’t we? 🥲

Idk, of all the ways you could criticize Ubisoft, dragging this random guy just because he didn’t care too much for HL2 (and then took the time to write down his thoughts instead just going “game bad 👎”) feels silly.

This feels a step above. Dysenterification?

I mean, what is even there to play that you can’t play on Switch 1?
New Mario Kart? Donkey Kong whatever?
I’m sure they’re good games, I just don’t see someone who already owns a Switch buying a whole new system just for them

Not even Microsoft was putting Windows on their Surface Duo phones, I think we can safely say mobile Windows is dead…

I suppose RTX Remix is what they’ll focus on going forward?

Feels like the best meta for console purchasing is to only buy every other gen. I imagine the Sw2 is a blast for someone who didn’t have the 1 and now gets to play all those games at an improved quality/framerate

damn near 2026 and new releases are still shipping with a 30hz target lmao

I feel sincerely sorry for the millions of IT Help Desk workers who will see an influx of people coming to them saying “I asked Copilot to free space on my computer and all my files are gone!!! Fix it!!!”

Okay, so far so good.
Looks like the yellow painted fuck didn’t ruin it.

An option to choose what controller glyphs I want to use (Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo, directional) and a option to always use those glyphs even when mouse input is detected, so I can use Gyro without the glyphs constantly flickering ☺️

Ludicrously bad wording, a CEO really should have realized that there’s situations corpo speak isn’t the right choice

Damn, that’s huge!
I thought they were still ways off from making the switch!

Wonder if anyone ever managed to homebrew it to run something else

Pros

  • Unique premium-looking flat design, IPX8-rated.
  • Large and fast 144Hz OLED panel, the UD selfie camera is inconspicuous.
  • Extra-long battery life, quick wired and wireless charging.
  • Exceptional price/performance ratio.
  • Plenty of gaming-oriented features, including pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers.
  • Flexible and well-executed external display and peripherals gaming experience.
  • Excellent connectivity with 3.5mm jack, IR blaster and DP output over Type-C.
  • Advanced cooling design with a fan and coolant.

Cons

  • Basic HDR video playback support only.
  • The software is still plagued by awkward English translations from Chinese.
  • The speaker sound quality could still use some improvement.
  • Camera experience is unimpressive.
  • No eSIM support.

The Gabenbox Series X
The Gabenstation 5
The… Gabenitch 2???

Since when? Because last I used it Video and Audio calls required their native app (their excuse was their encryption couldn’t run on the website)

The one fucking app of theirs that was done really well and they kill it.
Microsoft might as well deprecate their UI Toolkit now. The best 3rd party app to showcase it is dead and even their own apps are just web wrappers nowadays 🙄

This is also my recommendation.
Even if you don’t care about any of the extra features, the fact that you get TMR Sticks, a charging dock and 2.4g dongle included makes it a better purchase than any Xbox controller

I can confirm it has no hearts/timer or the usual Freemium Mobile monetization tactics. At most you can watch an ad to revive after death or to get extra coins but it’s optional.
It’s also on Steam for cheap and that version has zero monetization.
