They certainly can be cash grabs but I wouldn’t say always. Usually it’s the low effort remasters that don’t warrant rebuying at full price as they’re mostly a technical refresh (with mixed results based on how much they tried).
Remake implies them remaking the game instead of upgrading it where you get things like the ffvii remakes or the upcoming dragon quest vii which looks pretty good. Sometimes they miss but I wouldn’t call them a cash grab as it still takes significant investment.

They didn’t make much money off alan wake 2 after locking it on epic and not printing a physical copy for the console people for a year (and even then was only a limited deluxe and collector’s edition release). This seemed like a hail mary to try and get that sweet gaas money, but I imagine the overlap between people who play games like control and people who are willing to dump endless money on the live service game of the week skins is pretty small.
It’s not exclusive, the Playstation trailers always just remove all mention of other platforms. The one on koei tecmo’s channel has the steam logo
Not even the same quality, piracy is often better either because they combined multiple sources to get better quality or because streaming services won’t even give you the quality you pay for without jumping through their hoops. To the second point, Netflix stopped supporting pcm 5.1 audio on their desktop app so I have to pirate the shows I’m paying for unless I want to watch in stereo.
Yeah after reading that I used tracker.gg to look at my match history and it seems like around 1 in 10 quick play matches were bot matches, I watched the replay of one and it was pretty obvious. No competitive matches at least
Yeah I couldn’t make it through their first video the amount of glazing they were doing was revolting
