They could just make the update reversible, many mods probably don’t get updated and are dead now. And its basically for nothing. Just because of a “next gen” update that doesn’t do anything mods didn’t do better before.

You’re just repeating the same complaints people have made for the last twenty years. Everything is already back to normal now. It’s ok.
